Chemical anchoring is a technique to fasten to concrete and similar substrates offering higher flexibility as compared to mechanical anchoring. It involves the injection of resin into the hole prior to the insertion of the stud. Further, the chemical naturally fills in all the irregularities, thus air tightening and waterproofing the hole with strong adhesion.
Chemical anchors, also known as chemical studs, have virtually unlimited embedment depth, and as a result, you can embed any length of the rod into the hole to augment the load capacity. Additionally, using a larger-diameter hole with a thicker rod further helps you increase the load capacity.
